Description
|Flower Care Instructions|
1. Remove the Packaging
While the wrapping is part of the bouquet’s presentation, it may restrict airflow and water absorption.
Carefully remove all layers of wrapping and the water pouch, then place the bouquet in a clean vase filled with fresh water.
2. Keep in Fresh Water
The twine or floral wire used to secure the bouquet may be kept or removed according to your preference.
Keep the water level below the twine to prevent it from soaking in water and developing bacteria.
Change the water regularly to keep it clean and clear. During warmer weather, we recommend changing the water daily. In cooler weather, changing it every other day is generally sufficient.
3. Trim the Stems
Whenever you change the water, gently rinse or brush the stems and trim approximately 0.3–0.5 cm from the ends.
A fresh cut helps the flowers absorb water more effectively and reduces bacterial growth.
- Cut at an angle: Roses, hydrangeas, and other flowers with firm or woody stems
- Cut straight across: Tulips, gerbera daisies, lace flowers, and other flowers with soft or slender stems
4. Remove Wilted Flowers and Foliage
Remove any petals or leaves showing signs of water damage, yellowing, or wilting as soon as possible.
When an entire stem becomes yellow, soft, or wilted, loosen or remove the securing twine and take out the affected stem to prevent it from accelerating the deterioration of the remaining flowers and foliage.
5. Add Flower Food
Fresh flower bouquets generally last around 3–7 days. Adding flower food to the water may help extend the bouquet’s vase life.
6. Keep in a Cool, Well-Ventilated Place
Direct sunlight and strong light may cause flowers to become damaged or dehydrated. During hot weather, we recommend keeping the bouquet in an air-conditioned room.
Keep the bouquet away from fruit, as ripening fruit releases ethylene gas, which may accelerate the ageing and wilting of flowers.
